Gametime is upon us as the Frogs look to collect their first ever Big 12 road win and put what started as a highly promising season back onto the right path. Standing in their way will be a Texas Tech team that is similarly winless in the Big 12, but has played both West Virginia and Texas fairly close in Lubbock. Speaking of Lubbock, expect a very hostile environment tonight for the first TCU major men's team to head out west since TCU scored 82 points on the Raiders in football this season, a number I would be quite surprised to see either team reach tonight. Both teams get it done with defense first, so penetration and facilitation by Kyan Anderson and Trey Zeigler to attempt to break the initial wave of the Tech defense will be key, as will the problem areas of knocking down outside shots and making free throws. It's sure to be an interesting matchup, as Tubby Smith is one of the few coaches in the Big 12 I'm prepared to say likely has the Xs and Os edge over Trent Johnson, but to me this year's TCU team is slightly more talented on both ends of the floor. The key will be how they handle a harsh road environment and whether they can keep their heads (and make shots) down the stretch, something we've struggled with so far this year.
As always, this is your gamethread for live chat and analysis for tonight's game. Let's get that Big 12 road win!
Go Frogs!
