Frogs vs. Jayhawks Final Score: TCU Drops Close Game, 64-61

TCU fought as hard as they could, but they came up just short against the number 9 team in the country.

There is no doubt that this TCU team is vastly improved. None. They're a very good rebounding team, they're a very good defensive team, and all of that showed against Kansas tonight.

TCU held Kansas to 64 points, eight points below their average. The Frogs also dominated the glass, outrebounding Kansas 49-40. TCU also pulled down 26 offensive boards on the night.

However, the Achilles heel reared it's head again, as TCU missed 14 free throws on the night. That wasn't the only thing that held the Frogs back though.

TCU shot just 30.6% from the floor on the night (22-72) and just 2-13 from deep.

Kyan Anderson led the way for the Frogs with 17 points, but he did not have a good shooting night, needing 18 shots. Trey Zeigler recorded a 12 point, 11 rebound double-double for TCU, and scored five points in 15 seconds to keep the game within reach for TCU late.

Kenrich Williams scored 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds for TCU, including seven offensive boards.

TCU had to battle back several times, finding themselves down by 13 in the first half, and 12 in the second half. They battled back from both deficits to take the lead, but couldn't battle back a third time.

TCU drops to 14-6 on the season, and 1-6 in Big 12 play. They'll square off against No. 15 Iowa State at Hilton Coliseum on Saturday. The Cyclones dropped a puzzling game to Texas Tech last week, so they're definitely beatable.
