After a trip to Pac-12 country, the Frogs return home to face a Prairie View A&M Panthers team that hasn't had a winning season since 2010. The Tigers will be a somewhat familiar foe for TCU, as the Frogs beat PVAMU early last season.

Summary

The Prairie View A&M Panthers enter the season with some serious concerns about where points are going to come from. The team lost all three of its double-digit scorers from last season to graduation. Montrael Scott led the team with 15.4 points per game, Tre Hagood wasn't far behind with 12.7, and John Brisco added another 11.2. Together, the trio of senior guards accounted for nearly 60% of the Panthers' offense. Reggis Onwukamuche, the team's leading rebounder with 5.3 per game, also graduated.

Guards Karim York and Jacoby Green will likely step up as leaders of this year's PVAMU team. Both players had productive seasons as juniors a year ago. The Frogs will be fresh in the minds of these Panthers, as TCU dealt Prairie View A&M a 71-54 loss to open the 2014-2015 season. York and Green will likely need some help from their younger teammates this season if the Panthers are to secure their first winning season since 2010.

Prediction

TCU 77, Prairie View A&M 53

Without ragging too much on a team that has struggled for much of its existence, this should be an easy win for the Frogs. If all goes well, TCU should be able to build up a first half lead and get some of the younger Frogs meaningful playing time in the second half.
