Patterson and Mark Dantonio talk about how their teams have reached 7-0.
"There's a strong foundation," Patterson said. "There's a toughness part of what a TCU team's about. We've overcome adversity because we've prepared for adversity.
"But if you told me before the season that I [was] going to have to basically play seven DBs and four defensive linemen, and be 7-0, I'd probably tell you you're crazy."
As if I needed another reason to love Aaron Sorkin.
“I don’t get that. Sports, if anything, is supposed to be a meritocracy,” he said. “They won the game, so why would they drop like that?”
Very cool gesture, and the funding is up to over $22,000.
A TCU fan -- or fans, it may seem -- worked with Faber's family to set up a crowdfunding page to help with her physical therapy and other needs that are not covered by insurance. The following can be read on the page: "A picture was captured of Trevone Boykin taking time to meet Abby and TCU fans were touched and reached out wanting to know how they could help Abby and her family."
Kirk Herbstreit thinks Boykin should be up there with Fournette.
"He just refuses to let this team lose, and that's something the voters don't lose sight of," Herbstreit said. "Boykin, for all the hype Fournette has gotten, has to be up there still."
Pretty good list.
8. Wide receiver
Before breaking out as a quarterback, Boykin played wide receiver. In 2013, he had 26 receptions for 204 yards. At least one NFL scout thinks that Boykin could return to playing receiver in the NFL.
