TCU and Rhode Island will square off on the hardwood tonight for the first time since 1998. This time, it's in the opening game of the 2015 Cancun Challenge. The Rams enter the contest with five talented shooters and a defense that rivals the best in the country. Through three games on the year, URI is allowing under 50 points per game, a tough challenge for a TCU offense that has found success as of late. The Frogs are averaging 82.3 points per game thanks to a pair of 90-point outbursts to open the season.
The winner of tonight's game will advance to face the winner of the second semifinal, which pits Maryland against Illinois State, in tomorrow night's Championship Game. The losers of each semifinal will also play each other tomorrow afternoon in the Third Place Game. Tonight's contest will tipoff at 5:00 PM and be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. An online stream will also be available at cbssports.com/stream.
Go Frogs!
