The Sky Isn't Falling: TCU Ranked #13 in AP

The Frogs tumbled out of the top ten after losing to OSU on the road, but remain in the top 15 of both the AP and Coach's Polls.

Apparently, while it doesn't seem to pay dividends to BE the Frogs when it comes to the polls, it does pay to BEAT them. Oklahoma State vaulted all the way up to #5 in both polls after beating TCU on their home field in impressive fashion, one spot behind #4 Baylor, who beat Kansas State on Thursday evening.

For the Pokes, who are 9-0, destiny is all but completely in their control, as they will face Baylor and OU on their home field in the coming weeks. One of only six remaining undefeated teams, the Pokes trail #1 Clemson, #2 Ohio State, and the third ranked Bears, but are ahead of fellow loss-less teams Iowa and Houston. Alabama, fresh off their domination of previously unbeaten LSU, checks it as the only one loss team in the top five, at number three.

TCU plummets out of the top ten but remains in a strong position for a Big XII title and a NY6 Bowl Bid. They now trail fellow Big XII member Oklahoma by one spot in both polls, as the Sooners are on the cusp of the top ten. These two teams will face off in Norman on November 21st. The Frogs will have Kansas at home before their last opportunities to impress the committee against ranked opponents, with the road game against Oklahoma preceding an all-important home matchup against the Bears on Black Friday.

Here is the poll in full, with both the Massey and Bill Connelly's S&P+ ratings:

Remember, these polls don't matter; it will be Tuesday night before we know what the committee feels about TCU after the 20 point loss on the road, and thus if they maintain any hope of a playoff berth.
