The Horned Frogs move up eight spots in this week's college football poll from No. 19 to No. 11, thanks to a 28-21 win over then-No. 7 Baylor. The Bears checked in at No. 12. It sets up an interesting scenario, should Baylor blow out Texas this Saturday, that could see the Bears jump back over TCU despite the Frogs holding the head-to-head win.
The Top 5 stayed the same, with the committee essentially saying they didn't think Oklahoma's 58-23 win over then-No. 11 Oklahoma State wasn't impressive enough to jump them ahead of Alabama, who defeated then-6-5 Auburn 29-13. It's interesting, to say the least.
Oklahoma State dropped to No. 17 after their second blowout loss in Stillwater, behind 9-3 teams Michigan and Oregon.
Ohio State moved up to No. 6 after a big win over Michigan, while Notre Dame dropped to No. 8 after their loss to Stanford, who moved to No. 7.
Remember, just because TCU is now the second-highest ranked team in the Big 12, the conference standings, not the CFP rankings, are what determine who the Sugar Bowl takes.
Other interesting rankings include No. 25 Tennessee, No. 20 USC, and No. 21 LSU, which all seem to move back into the rankings to set up some tiebreakers should the committee need them after this weekend's games.
You'll find the full rankings below.
