TCU picked up an OL commit over the weekend.

Not only did the Horned Frogs host numerous top prospects from around the state, they also came away with a verbal commitment from three-star Manvel offensive tackle Austin Myers.

TCU will be opening spring practices this week looking to set the tone for taking the next step toward being recognized as college football royalty. Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson made note the teams selected to play in the College Football Playoff ahead of his TCU program as well as Baylor were each considered among college football royalty.

Cody Jones’ two-out single in the ninth broke a 2-2 tie and TCU, ranked No. 1 by Collegiate Baseball, took a 3-2 victory and a 2-1 series win Sunday at No. 8 Arizona State.

Evan Williams drew a one-out walk in the ninth inning and moved to second on a base hit from Dane Steinhagen. With two outs, Cody Jones ripped a single into left field. Williams rounded third and arrived at the plate at the same time the ball did. His slide across the plate dislodged the ball and he was safe, giving TCU a 3-2 lead.

TCU's Paul Dawson disappoints in NFL combine 40-yard dash |

Dawson (6-foot-0 1/8, 235 pounds) was clocked at a disappointing 4.93 in the 40-yard dash on Sunday at the combine. His slow time led NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock to say "that one just blows me away; I did not see that coming." Mayock had Dawson as his top linebacker in his positional rankings.
