FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU's Christian Gore, Hudson Price and Michael Williams were honored Wednesday as members of the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Men's Basketball Team.
For a second-straight year, Gore was named to the prestigious squad after posting a 3.7 GPA. The finance major, who earned first-team accolades Wednesday, has seen action in 14 games this season, including five league contest. He is shooting almost 40 percent from the field and scored a season-high six points versus Washington State earlier this season.
Price and Williams earned second-team recognition Wednesday, with both claiming honors for the first time in their young careers.
Price has played in 24 games this season, while totaling double-figures in scoring twice. The sophomore, who is a business major, is averaging 3.1 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per contest. He scored a career-high earlier this season against Radford with 14 points.
Williams, a business major, has come off the bench in 16 games this season, including six Big 12 contests. He is shooting over 60 percent from the field and registered a season-high nine points during non-conference against Mississippi Valley State.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
