Arico Evans was one of the most recent Horned Frogs to make his commitment, pledging to TCU on January 25th. The safety from Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Tx, was originally committed to Kansas, after the Jayhawks were the first D-1 team to offer him.
However, a visit to Fort Worth changed everything, and the 6-foot-2, 190 pound safety changed his mind.
Now he's officially a Frog as he signed on the dotted line early this morning, becoming the fourth member of TCU's 2015 class to officially sign on (behind early enrollees Deshawn Raymond, Alec Dunham and Mike Freeze).
Evans is one of three safety recruits for the class, alongside Montrel Wilson and Niko Small.
Evans played both ways for Hillcrest, including quarterback on the offensive side of the ball. However, he'll be a safety at the next level, and with his size and speed (4.48-40 time), he has the potential to be the next stud defensive back for the Frogs.
Check out his Hudl highlights and welcome him to the Frog Family!
