Montrel Wilson is Officially a Horned Frog

The safety out of Keller makes it official.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Montrel Wilson is one of three safeties in TCU's 2015 class, alongside Niko Small and Arico Evans, and all three could be dominant in the near future. Wilson, specifically, could be the most impressive of the three. He already stands at 6-foot-3, 198 pounds, and hits like a brick wall.

The free safety has great ball skills and play recognition, and should be an incredible addition to the defensive backs unit for Gary Patterson.

Wilson also held offers from Baylor, Arkansas, Illinois, and others, but stayed true to his commitment to the Frogs. Wilson pledged to TCU back in December and never wavered.

Rated as the No. 17 safety prospect in Texas, and the 90th safety overall in the 2015 class, Wilson, a 3-star recruit, may have been overlooked by a few other programs. However, this is where Gary excels on the recruiting trail, and under his tutelage, it shouldn't surprise any of us if Wilson ends up being an absolute beast.

Check out his highlights, and welcome him to the Frog Family!
