TCU Loses To Baylor, 77-57

It was a wire-to-wire lead for Baylor, as TCU drops to 1-8 in Big 12 play this season.

It was an all around brutal game for the Horned Frogs, who shot poorly, defended poorly, and were outrebounded in Waco on Wednesday night. The Frogs lost to Baylor, 77-57, to fall to 14-8 on the season and 1-8 in Big 12 play.

The Frogs had three players reach double digits (Amric Fields - 14, Trey Zeigler and Kenrich Williams - 11), but TCU as a team shot just 35.7% from the floor, including just 3-11 from deep. TCU also missed 11 free throws on the night, going just 14-25 from the charity stripe. It marked the 13th time this season TCU has missed double-digit free throws in a game.

The Frogs were outrebounded 40-29, and allowed Baylor to shoot 49.1% from the floor, and 50% from deep. The Bears were led by big man Rico Gathers, who scored 14 points and pulled down 17 rebounds. In two games against TCU Gathers has 31 points and 35 rebounds.

There's really not much else to say about this game. TCU played rather terribly from start to finish, and allowed Baylor to do whatever they wanted.

TCU heads to Norman this Saturday to face off against Oklahoma.
