A big five-run fifth inning helped TCU wrap up a successful and long four-game West Coast road trip with a 6-2 victory Tuesday over Loyola Marymount.

Tyler Alexander started for the Frogs and pitched well in the no-decision. He allowed a run on six hits and struck out four. Brian Howard (2-0) earned the win in relief as he allowed a run on two hits and struck out five in 2 1/3 innings pitched. Trey Teakell struck out two and surrendered a hit in 1 2/3 innings. Ryan Burnett closed out the game in the ninth.
