2015 feeling like 2010 for TCU football team | Big Mac Blog

In 2010, TCU was coming off a perfect regular season. Its one loss was to Boise State in the BCS Fiesta Bowl. Entering Dalton’s final season, TCU again had to be perfect to have any shot at a BCS game. It wound up going to the Rose Bowl, where the Horned Frogs defeated Wisconsin to finish No. 2 in the final AP poll. Playing in the Mountain West Conference left TCU and Dalton no choice but to be perfect during the regular season to have any prayer for a prime postseason game.

TCU’s series loss to Oklahoma State over the weekend is “part of life in the Big 12,” coach Jim Schlossnagle said.

“We play a good schedule, it’s a good conference,” he said. “Sometimes you don’t play well. You’re not going to play well all the time.”
