The TCU Horned Frogs have an outside shot at earning a bid to the NIT. The Frogs' chances are partly dependent on the outcomes of the postseason tournaments across the 32 different leagues. The winner of each conference postseason tournament earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. If a team wins their conference in the regular season but fails to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament through their postseason tournament, they are awarded an automatic bid to the NIT.
