A Steakhouse vs. a Chili Bar. This one should be interesting. Winner faces off against the winner of No. 6 Lonesome Dove and No. 11 Vidalia's Southern Cuisine.
No. 3 Cattlemen's Steakhouse
Style: Steakhouse
Location: 2458 N. Main St.
Price Range: ~$11-$30
A Fort Worth staple since 1947, Cattlemen's has had quite a while to figure out how to make the perfect steak. Here's a positive review from Yelp:
This place hit the spot! In from Austin for the weekend and wanted to experience some Rodeo and good steak. Cattlemans gave us just what we where looking for. Greatly prepared steaks in a good ol' TEXAS atmosphere.
No. 14 Michael's Restaurant and Ancho Chile Bar
Style: Southwestern
Location: 3413 W. 7th Street
Price Range: ~$11-$30
Can Michael's play the role of Georgia State? It's possible, but let's not call their opponent Baylor. Here's a positive Yelp review:
This is a Fort Worth gem. It has a cozy atmosphere with friendly service. The pecan crusted goat cheese stuffed chicken breast is a must try and my friend loved his pork loin. The goat cheese tart with pesto crusted toast is excellent. The crab cake is so so. For a nice, rich ending get the white chocolate bread pudding. The warm fireplace on this cold night made it extra special.
