The countdown to TCU's first game at Minnesota continues with #44 Paul Whitmill. The 6'0" 230lb Sophomore from Bastrop TX appeared on the 2012 Butkus Award High School Watch List while at Bastrop HS, and was ranked the number 5 outside linebacker in Texas and number 39 in the nation by FOX Sports, and the 25th-best outside linebacker in the nation by 247Sports.
Whitmill totaled 49 tackles, including 11 for loss, with two sacks his senior year of high school, and made 95 stops with seven for loss and three sacks prior to that as a sophomore. He then chose TCU over Baylor, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Utah, Arizona and Wake Forest.
Whitmill redshirted the 2013 season on campus, and in 2014 played in 12 games, making 7 tackles, including four in the SMU game alone. Whitmill and Sammy Douglas are the likely duo to fill the large hole left by the departure of Paul Dawson and Marcus Mallet.
