38 days to go to Football season brings us to #38 Connor Osborne. Connor is an up and coming wide receiver for the Horned Frogs. Osborne, a 5'10", 170lb junior, hails from West Monroe, La. He played high school football at West Monroe High as quarterback his sophomore and Junior years. In 09-10 he had 278 passing yards and 237 rushing yards.
In the 2014 season at TCU, Connor did not see any game time. So, with not much else to report, since this feature is about looking forward to football season, let's look forward a little more, and just image what Connor's future might hold for him and TCU. Just suppose that as Connor develops as a WR, he sees more play time and becomes a fixture in the Horned Frog offense. In the final regular season game against Baylor, Osborne is responsible for two incredible end zone catches as TCU demolishes the Bears 70-35. In the CFP semi-final game versus USC, Connor catches a last minute touchdown pass from Boykin, sealing the win and a trip to the CFP Championship game. In the juggernaut versus Ohio State, Osborne pulls a pass in the corner of the end zone down with one hand with 3 seconds on the clock to beat Ohio State by four points. In the following seasons, while pursuing an MBA, Connor goes on to become a key figure in TCU's three-peat consecutive National Championships.
After school, Connor parlays his dual undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Business and the aforementioned MBA to start up his own software company, which develops an operating system so superior to MS and Mac that most business and personal computers are switched to the new OS within 10 years. Feeling like he should give back to TCU, in 2028 Osborne announces a $5-billion gift for the renovation of all TCU sports facilities and a new Computer Science Building bearing his name. Not forgetting the Frogs O' War staff that believed in him from the very start, Osborne ensures they have their own luxury boxes in the Amon G. Carter Stadium, Daniel Meyer Coliseum, Lupton Stadium, and the new first of it's kind Beach Volleyball Arena complete with simulated ocean and wave surfing machine for fans. Hey, it could happen. GO FROGS!!!
