This is strange timing and difficult news to handle with under two weeks to go before the season begins.

Echols-Luper is widely considered one of the fastest players in college football, competing in track at TCU and earning second-team All-American honors in the 2014 outdoor season from the USTFCCCA in the 4×100 relay. He was also the Big 12 indoor champion in the long jump with a 7.61m jump in his winning attempt.

Nobody would care, of course, if it happened to be the same ol’ Baylor and the same ol’ TCU. But last season it wasn’t the same ol’, and, as you’ve noticed, the national forecast is it won’t be the same ol’ this season either.

David Porter is doing everything he can to stay a Dallas Cowboy.

Porter packed light, bringing only plain, white T-shirts, basketball shorts, a pair of sweats, a pair of slacks, a dress shirt, dress shoes, tennis shoes and a phone charger with him to camp. He hopes, though, that his stay lasts much longer.
