The Frogs won a close, heart-stopping shootout in Lubbock yesterday, but it wasn't enough to keep them at No. 2 in the Coaches Poll.
Ohio State remained No. 1 after a 38-12 victory over Western Michigan, and Michigan State jumped to No. 2 following a 30-10 win over Central Michigan. Apparently playing a directional school from the "hand-shaped state" is more impressive than beating an improved Tech team in Lubbock, or as EDSBS called a "rift in space-time."
Baylor sits at No. 4 after obliterating Rice, while Ole Miss, Georgia, Notre Dame, LSU, Florida State and UCLA round out the top 10.
The full poll is below. We'll update this with the AP Poll when it comes out this afternoon.
