Alamo Bowl Halftime Update: Oregon blasting TCU, 31-0

Welp.

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

The first half couldn't end fast enough for the Horned Frogs, as they saw themselves buried by Oregon's offense to the tune of 376 yards, 18 first downs, and a 31-0 score. TCU mustered a measly 142 yards. Bram Kohlhausen, starting in place of Trevone Boykin, completed just 9-of-19 pass attempts for 96 yards and an interception.

TCU's defense seemed to gain some momentum about midway through the second quarter, as they got two stops in a row, but on the second stop, Oregon's punt was blocked, caught by an Oregon player, and run for a first down. That basically sums up the first half.

With 4:52 remaining in the half, Derrick Kindred crushed Vernon Adams Jr. on a QB run, causing Adams to stay down on the field, and eventually walk off to the locker room under his own power.

The Frogs were also nailed with two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the half, one by Josh Carraway and another by KaVontae Turpin.

Things aren't looking up for the second half, either.
