TCU landed quite literally their biggest recruit of the 2016 class on Saturday, when 4-star defensive tackle Ross Blacklock picked the Horned Frogs. The announcement came during the second quarter of the Army All-American bowl, which features some of the best high school prospects every season.
Blacklock is rated as the No. 18 DT in the country, according to 247Sports, as well as the No 18 prospect in the state of Texas. He also holds offers form Texas A&M, Alabama, Houston, LSU, Texas, Missouri, and a handful of others.
Blacklock thanked God, his family, friends, and coaches before making his pick.
The big DT from Missouri City, Texas becomes TCU's 19th commitment to the 2016 class. With Davion Pierson graduating, it's possible we could see Blacklock on the field early in his freshman campaign.
Also playing in the game is TCU commit Sewo Olonilua, who received the Glenn Davis award on Friday, given to the Army All-American who epitomize the Army's high standard of excellence in community service, education, and athletic distinction.
