Do(n’t) bet the lock

down on your luck? here are some picks to brighten up your weekend

Welcome back to the jungle party people!

Did you know you could bet on the election? That’s pretty dope.

(That’s about as political as I get. Hopefully I didn’t ruffle any feathers)

Just to recap my last week I went 4-2. I hit all my games except my lock of the week and my bonus lock of the week. My advice is to take my picks and then bet against my locks of the week. Or don’t... I am probably going to go 4-0 this week.

With that said, let’s get to it.

All game lines are taken Wednesday 11/8 at 11:20 CST

GAME ONE: Baylor (6-2, 3-2) at Oklahoma (7-2, 6-0)

Baylor is coming off a week marked with scandal as well as a demoralizing defeat against TCU. Oklahoma is undefeated in conference play and will be getting their premiere back Joe Mixon back after his fight with a parking ticket. I am going to coin this game the Hot Mess Bowl. Oklahoma is a 15.5 point favorite in this game

MY PICK: Oklahoma against the spread

MY REASON: Baylor is in the middle of their decline and will continue to do so against the best team in the conference. After a mediocre performance against Iowa State (They Covered) OU will be ready to get back to work this week at home.

GAME TWO: West Virginia (7-1, 4-1) At Texas (5-4, 3-3)

Texas is on a two game winning streak (weird) and opens up as a 2 point favorite against West Virginia. West Virginia is coming off a win against Kansas, whereas Texas is coming off a win against Texas Tech.

MY PICK: West Virginia

MY REASON: West Virginia is actually projected to win the game. I don’t know why this keeps happening, but I have WVU to win this game outright, so I think they will cover the spread.

In a weird turn of events, UT still carries charlie strong on their shoulders, only to throw him in a dumpster in the most metaphoric way to fire someone ever.

GAME THREE: LSU (5-3, 3-2) at Arkansas (6-3, 2-3)

LSU opens as a 7 point favorite against Arkansas. LSU played really well against the Nick Saban Machine. Arkansas beat Florida outright in a game they were not favored to win.

MY PICK: Arkansas (Gimme the home dog ... or Home Hog in this case - I hate myself for that joke)

MY REASON: I think the charm of the tigers is running out and I think Arkansas is in the middle of their typical season trajectory (Start hot, suck in the middle, finish hot)

Also, I would bet the under in this game. Not sure what that line is, but I would take it regardless.

LOCK OF THE WEEK USC (6-3, 5-2) at Washington (9-0, 6-0)

The Huskies open as a 9.5 point favorite against the Trojans.

Bet Washington here. I think they are going to continue to roll over a mediocre Pac-12 and begin to make their way to the college football playoff.

Enjoy your free money. This feels like a parlay week. Bundle these picks up and rock a 4-team parlay and then go ahead and make an appointment to sell plasma so that you can put some money down.

Let’s ride.
