One of TCU’s biggest recruits from the class of 2014 is parting ways with the school. Ty Barrett announced his decision to transfer on Twitter mid-morning on Wednesday.

Barrett was the fourth-highest rated recruit for TCU’s class of 2014, according to 247Sports, and was the 34th best offensive tackle recruit in the country. Hailing from Skyline High School in Dallas, Barrett was a long-time TCU commit who briefly decommitted to flirt with other schools, before coming back into the fold just a week or two later.
Barrett has found himself passed on the depth chart, and now he’ll seek playing time elsewhere.
We wish him nothing but the best of luck.
