TCU Recruiting 2016: Two Days From Signing Day

Can the Frogs close on a high note?

Will TCU come away with replacements for #9 and #22 in this class?
Will TCU come away with replacements for #9 and #22 in this class?
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

It has been a relatively quiet week, leading up to National Signing Day, and with the dead period underway until kids start faxing in their paperwork Wednesday, we take one last look at who could wind up as a Frog. The list below is similar to the one we posted last week, with a few updates on each guy, along with a few names removed.

I took Cameron Lewis, 4-star safety, off the list because he ended up cancelling his official visit to TCU last weekend, and it appears he'll remain committed to LSU. I also pulled DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles off the list, as he canceled his in-home visit with TCU coaches late last week, and appears headed to either Texas or LSU.

Lastly, I also took Brandon Jones off the list, as TCU's in-home visit wasn't enough to convince the 4-star safety from Nacogdoches to take a mid-week official visit.

You'll find a full list of current commits below, but first, here's an updated list of everyone to keep an eye on (and my baseless predictions for where they wind up).

Also, a reminder: The link for each player takes you to their HUDL page.

Kyle Porter, RB, 4-Stars, Katy, Texas

TCU is in his top three, along with Arkansas and the Longhorns, but he's kept things incredibly close to the vest throughout his recruitment so it's difficult to read into the few things he does say to find clues as to where he may wind up.

He's an incredibly strong runner, and he's not afraid of contact. He also has great hands coming out of the backfield, making him a legitimate offensive weapon in a variety of ways.

Prediction: TCU

Tyrie Cleveland, WR, 4-Stars, Houston, Texas

Florida made a big impression on the 6'3" receiver over the weekend. Cleveland is technically still committed to Houston, but he's made it clear that it's a four team race, and he'll be announcing close to NSD.

Cleveland visited TCU on the 15th, and is rated as the No. 2 receiver in this class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Prediction: TCU

Trayvon Mullen, CB, 4-Stars, Pompano Beach, Florida

A 6'1" corner with excellent speed, Mullen is currently an LSU lean, but did take an official visit to TCU back in November. Trayvon is an Army All American who holds over 30 offers from across the country. Tall, rangy, and possessing great instinct, he is equally adept at pass coverage as run support.

Mullen reaffirmed his top five of TCU, LSU, FSU, Clemson, and Louisville, and the Florida native is keeping his options open up until signing day.

Prediction: LSU

Audie Omotosho, WR, 3-Stars, Plano, Texas

Omotosho is hearing from TCU, SMU, Oklahoma State, and UCLA, and it's unclear if there's a frontrunner at this point.

The 6'2" receiver has been on TCU's radar since the summer, but didn't receive his formal offer until this past month. While he doesn't have eye-popping stats, pre se, he grades out somewhere between three and four stars depending on your preferred service, and has excellent measurables. He has proven himself a great leader on and off the field - serving as Plano East's senior class president this year.

Prediction: TCU
