Mid-week games are often looked at as second-tier games in college baseball. They usually don't feature the big-time opponents that the weekend games do, but when you're trying to win 40+ games and get to the postseason every win is important. This team is going to play 12 of them this year, so it would be really nice to close out this first one with a W.
TCU has announced the starting pitcher for this game as Devon Roedahl, a Freshman from West Brook High School in Beaumont, Texas. Over the weekend the Frogs outhit Loyola Marymount 30-13, but still ended up having their first-game jitters get the better of them in game one. It appears that the team was starting to really gel on Sunday, so I expect them to be as sharp tonight as they were a few days ago.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff got swept by North Dakota state over the weekend, so this is a team that is hungry for a win. The Frogs best not sleep on them, or they could be in danger of starting out the season 2-2. They don't want that, and we don't want that, so if you can make sure that you get out there to cheer them on. For those of you who cannot, join us below in the gamethread.
