KeShawn Somerville committed to TCU two Decembers ago; he's a guy who's been on the Frogs' radar for awhile. He was offered in July of 2014, before the Meacham-Cumbie offense took off and TCU catapulted right back into National conversation and relevancy.
Somerville, along with Markell Simmons (JUCO), Vernon Scott, and Innis Gaines add some really great secondary depth to TCU's 2016 class. As a player himself, Somerville reminds me a lot of a guy who just made the Pro Bowl–Jason Verrett. They're about the same size, (5'10, 170) and Somerville, like Verrett, plays very physical, hits hard and also like JV–tries to be a part of as many plays as possible.
Somerville, the No. 40 CB in the nation and No. 64 player in the state, also held offers from Baylor and Houston. His short offer list is a product of his early commitment, but wit his measurables he will be a great fit in Patterson's defense.
