Before I go into detail about this top target who also happens to be a TCU legacy, let me take this time to introduce myself. My name is Russell Johnson and I am going to be one of the lead recruiting writers around here. I spent most of the last year covering recruiting in the SEC, and I am thrilled to be here. I was enrolled at TCU at one point before transferring back home (Akron, Ohio) due to the tuition that was just too much to handle. I have a beautiful wife and two-year-old daughter named Emory, and anytime I am not on my computer writing or at work, I can most likely be seen with them. You can follow me on Twitter at @JohnsonERA13.
When Baron Browning first committed to Baylor last July, it sent shock-waves through the rest of the state of Texas. When he decommitted, TCU realized it had a second chance at one of the most talented players in the country for the class of 2017. Browning is currently competing at a Rivals event, and Josh Helmholdt was given the chance to interview Browning on the status of his recruitment, including the words "TCU" and "Home" in the same sentence:
While discussing Baylor, he says that he still has "A lot of love for them" but when TCU was mentioned, he said that they have let it be known that he is "welcome anytime" on campus and that it has become "practically another home" to the University where his father played at several years ago.
Browning is a clear top target for the Horned Frogs going forward, and you can count on us here at Frogs O' War to keep you updated throughout the rest of the recruiting process.
