Football Recruiting: Quick Update on Spring Game Visitors

With a little more then 24 hours to go until Friday Night Under The Lights 2016, we take a look at some of the reported visitors, with an updated list to be released later in the week.

Having Friday Night Under the Lights at Amon G. Carter Stadium this weekend is going to be HUGE for recruiting, as well as for fans to get a chance to see the progress the team has made in learning how to play without Trevone Boykin and Josh Doctson. While there will be several uncommitted prospects on campus this weekend, there will also be several current verbal commits on campus as well.

Our biggest current commit for 2017, Shawn Robinson, the top-four dual threat quarterback for Denton Guyer in Denton, TX has confirmed with me that he will be on campus. Robinson is a top-100 player nationally, and he has been the focal point of this class since he committed last June.

Joining Robinson on the commit list who is also planning to be on campus is wide receiver RJ Sneed. Sneed is another in-state commit for the class of 2017. Sneed plays for Cypress Ranch HS in Cypress, TX and currently is rated as a three-star prospect.

Four-star offensive lineman and current TCU commit Wes Harris will not be in attendance, He will competing at a track meet in Austin over the weekend.

One of the top remaining targets on the board on the defensive side of the ball, Alex Perry from Bishop Gorman HS in Nevada, has told me he plans on making it out there this weekend, which would be huge. Perry, a four-star cornerback who excels in man-to-man situations, was previously on campus this month, and has the Horned Frogs in his top list of schools.

As tomorrow night's event gets closer, we will have more updates here at Frogs O' War on who made it and who may have not been able to, as well as some possible reactions to the game, atmosphere, and possibly a new commit as well.
