Baker's home run helps TCU salvage finale against Baylor | Fort Worth Star Telegram

TCU took just one of the three games against Baylor over the weekend, and now they're in danger of not hosting a regional.

Freshman Luken Baker’s home run highlighted a three-run seventh inning and helped TCU beat Baylor 7-3 on Sunday afternoon as the Horned Frogs salvaged the finale of a three-game series at Baylor Ballpark.

A three-run seventh inning highlighted by a Luken Baker home run helped TCU to a 7-3 victory over Baylor Sunday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark.

TCU's track gets two gold medals at Big 12 Outdoor Championship | Fort Worth Star Telegram

Two Frog squads also claimed second place finishes at the meet.

Ronnie Baker won the men’s 100 meters with a time of 10.15 seconds, and Brianna McGhee won the women’s 100 hurdles in 13.14.

Ronnie Baker and Brianna McGhee brought home gold for the Frogs.

Baker, who took home gold at the indoor Big 12 and NCAA championships this year, clocked in with the fastest time in the 100 meter finals, but this time he was able to showcase his talents in front of the home crowd to cap the final Big 12 meet of his career. The two-time national champion crossed the finish line in 10.15 seconds - a tenth of a second faster than Oklahoma State's John Teeters, who placed second.
