Just like in the regional, going 2-0 to start the College World Series is crucial if a team wants to be serious about winning the tournament. In TCU's three previous trips to the CWS they have won their first game every time. They haven't been as lucky in the second game, which they have never succeeded in winning. Each of the past two years the team that beat TCU in the winner's bracket game, which we are playing tonight, has gone on to reach the finals and finished as the runner-up.

Coastal Carolina has had an incredible Cinderella run since entering the tournament in as the two seed in NC State's regional. It looked like NC State had them on the ropes, but we all know how that story goes. They came back in the ninth to beat the Wolfpack and then they went on to beat LSU in Baton Rouge and Florida in the Sunday night game of the CWS. Now that Texas Tech eliminated Florida in the early game today, the Frogs can take control of their side of the bracket with a win tonight.
