Jim Schlossnagle never talked to Texas, says TCU best job in country | The Star-Telegram
While the rumors were rampant that UT was going to come hard after Schloss, it was never a thought in the coach's mind. And apparently, he has no desire to pick up the phone for anyone but Chris Del Conte.
"We’ve built this program to the point where I don’t think there’s a better job in the country, and that’s not a slam on any other place," Schlossnagle said. "Every place has its unique strengths and obstacles, and we have obstacles here, too. But for me and my family, from a personal side and a professional side, there’s never been a better fit. I don’t foresee that changing."

TCU Lands One of Nation's Top Recruits | NBC DFW
This is BIG. Jamie Dixon got the most high profile recruit in years to verbally commit to the Frogs, and his pledge could pay big dividends on the recruiting trailing for the next several years. Nembhard is an unbelievable athlete with a high basketball IQ.
Keller senior R.J. Nembhard, a 4-star shooting guard, committed to the Frogs on twitter. Nembhard is by far away TCU's highest rated recruit in years. He chose the Frogs over dozens of top-end programs and almost all of the Texas schools. Nembhard holds offers from UCLA, Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas among others.

TCU-Ex Boykin Takes Plea Over Alamo Bowl Fracas | CBS DFW
This is great news for the Seahawks hopeful backup QB, who is now able to move on with his life and focus on football. He has an excellent chance to start the season as the #2 behind Russell Wilson.
A felony charge of assaulting a police officer was dismissed. The incident happened at a bar two days before the Horned Frogs beat Oregon in San Antonio in January.
The 22-year-old Boykin was fined $1,500 and ordered to apologize to the arresting officer, among other stipulations.
Football in the summer: TCU might be the most telling game of the Arkansas season | Arkansas News
The author gives TCU the edge in QB play, where the Frogs have yet to name a starter. But the Hogs are also looking to replace their signal caller this fall as well. It will be interesting to see how TCU's young offensive line matches up with a pretty experienced (and large) Arky defensive line at that early point in the season.
Arkansas can beat TCU. It just isn’t likely. The talent is comparable across the board with no obvious strength countering an obvious weakness, especially on offense. Both groups of running backs lack experience. Both wide receiving corps’ are very solid. Both offensive lines have real questions. But even with that there are simply too many things going the wrong direction for a Hogs win. TCU is a near-consensus top three finisher in the Big 12. Bielema teams typically struggle in the early season. TCU is at home. It might happen. It probably won’t.
