TCU News: TCU at No. 14 in Coaches' Poll

TCU debuts at number 14 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, the QB decision will likely be made 9 to 10 days before the home opener, and TCU has the most popular specialized TollTag.

The Frogs were picked second in the Big 12 media poll.

The Horned Frogs were No. 7 in the final poll last season after going 11-2. They return 13 starters (six offense, seven defense) along with an additional six starters (two offense, four defense) who had season-ending injuries last year.

"In the scrimmages, how well do we move the ball? How do they battle back when they've thrown an interception? Do they stop the momentum when things are going against us? Do they have that ability?" Cumbie said. "Those are some of the things you can gauge through the course of a week and a half, two weeks. We'll be able to figure that out."

Morrison was also promoted to High-A Myrtle Beach last week.

Morrison, 22, went 4-1 with a 0.83 ERA (3 ER/32.2 IP) in five June starts, striking out 26 batters while walking just five. He tossed three-consecutive scoreless outings, June 16-30, allowing 14 hits in 21.1 innings. His 0.83 ERA ranked first in the Midwest League while his four wins were tied for second-most.
