Kenrich Williams has been named to the NCAA.com All-Week team for his role in helping TCU knock off Texas in Austin and Iowa State at home. Kenny Hustle has been a menace for other teams to try and keep contained, but really elevated his game this week.
Despite only scoring 6 points against the Longhorns, Williams took over in other aspects. He had a game-high 13 rebounds and also caused Texas a lot of problems on defense, finishing the game with 5 steals and 3 blocks.
Against the Cyclones, he notched another double-double by dropping in 13 points and pulling down 13 rebounds again. He went 6/9 from the field on offense, and once again caused problems on defense with 2 steals and 2 blocks.
Kenrich’s honor is the second for the Frogs today, as Vladimir Brodziansky was named Big 12 Player of the Week this morning. Jamie’s write-up on Vlad can be seen here.
The Frogs are now 3-2 in Big 12 play, which is above .500 for the first time since joining the conference. TCU is set to take on Texas Tech in Lubbock on Wednesday.
