TCU won a big recruiting battle over Texas A&M and Oklahoma on Friday, as 3-star defensive tackle Corey Bethley committed to the Horned Frogs.

Bethley, who held offers from TCU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, USC, Washington, and several others, is a massive get for TCU, who was desperate for more defensive tackle depth from this class.
The newest Frog stands at 6-2, 302 pounds, per 247Sports, and adds some serious beef to TCU’s trenches. Bethley was supposed to go on an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend, but that will no longer take place.
Bethley is a 3-star recruit, according to 247Sports Composite rankings, but 247 has him listed as a 4-star in their sole rankings, and as the No. 17 DT in the 2017 class.
This is the second year in a row that a big DT has committed to the Frogs over Texas A&M, as Bethley joins Ross Blacklock in picking the good guys. Bethley becomes the third defensive tackle in this class, joining George Ellis (who is on an official visit to South Florida this weekend), and Ezra Tu-ua.
Bethley is the 14th commit to TCU’s class, as the Frogs look to close these last few days until NSD with a bang.
