A day after losing a running back in the 2018 class, TCU added one. 4-star recruit Fabian Franklin, a 5-11, 207 pound running back from Hattiesburg, Mississippi committed to TCU, backing off his commitment to Mississippi State, while participating in a Mississippi/Alabama All Star event on Monday.
#CarterBoys18 just got better. #TCU flips Miss. State ⭐⭐⭐⭐ RB Fabian Franklin. Gives the Frogs the big back they need in 18' class. #GoFrogs

Franklin is rated as a 4-star recruit by the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He’s listed as the No. 297 player in the 2018 class, the No. 14 running back, and the No. 2 player in the state of Mississippi. He is coming off of an official visit to TCU this past weekend.
He’s the fourth 247 Sports Composite Top 300 commit for TCU’s class, joining Justin Rogers, Atanza Vongor, and Tevailance Hunt. He’s also the second commit in this class from the state of Misssissippi (JUCO TE Pro Wells has been attending Northwest Mississippi C.C.). TCU has five states represented in the class of 2018: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Washington, and Iowa.
Franklin is a bigger back who isn’t afraid of contact. While he doesn’t have elite speed, he’s fast, and has great feet, meaning he can avoid tacklers and gain yards after contact. You can check out his HUDL film here.
