JUCO OT Anthony McKinney signs with TCU

McKinney fills a big need for the Frogs in this class.

TCU landed a huge part of it’s recruiting class this morning, when JUCO offensive tackle Anthony McKinney signed his National Letter of Intent.

A JUCO All-American, McKinney is rated as the No. 3 JUCO OT for the class of 2018, and the No. 14 JUCO player overall. He hails from Iowa Western C.C., the same school that current Frog Taj Williams transferred from.

McKinney was being pursued by a few other big name schools, and was always somewhat expected by national recruiting analysts to flip to Oklahoma (his Crystal Ball page on 247 has 100% OU predictions).

However, McKinney chose TCU over offers from Oklahoma, Georgia, Michigan State, and Oregon, among others.

McKinney is a big addition simply because of what TCU is losing along the offensive line. Four starters from the 2017 team are graduating, and McKinney is an experienced, talented guy who can step in and start right away.
