JUCO tight end Pro Wells, from Northwest Mississippi C.C., has signed his NLI with TCU, and is officially a Horned Frog.
Let’s get it! Congrats to @iamprowells on signing with the Frogs!#CarterBoys18 pic.twitter.com/Jn6JqibF01

Wells was also being recruited by Auburn, but he ultimately selected the Frogs, committing to TCU on December 3rd. At 6-4, 235, Wells provides a massive target for future TCU quarterbacks. He’s rated as the No. 4 JUCO TE in this class, according to 247 Sports.
This is a good pickup for TCU, who needs to replace both Cole Hunt and Charlie Reid after this season. TCU hasn’t used tight ends much in the recent past, but there was a definite uptick in snaps for TEs in 2017, and Wells should be able to step in and fill that void right away.
