The Denton Guyer product is a punishing lineman, standing at 6-3, 295. He turns defensive linemen into dust once he hits them. Rated as the 16th best center in the class of 2018, Lanz is a key addition to the 2018 class, as TCU loses a significant number of offensive linemen to graduation in 2017.
Lanz is one of five offensive linemen to sign with TCU in this class, helping address the line questions that were undoubtedly going to crop up with four starters graduating off the OL.
Lanz, a 3-star recruit according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, also held offers from Texas Tech, Baylor, Arizona State, and Central Florida, as well as several others.
