TCU basketball climbed in the polls this week, moving to No. 20 in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll, following a 2-0 week with wins over Belmont and Yale. The Frogs also sit at 19th in RPI, second best for any Big 12 school, and at 22nd in KenPom, fourth best in the Big 12.
TCU’s rank is its highest since 1998.

The Frogs are one of four Big 12 teams to appear in the rankings, with Kansas checking in at No. 2 in both polls, West Virginia showing up at No. 16 in the Coaches and No. 18 in the AP, and Baylor showing up at No. 22 in the Coaches, and No. 23 in the AP.
TCU’s 8-0 record has been bolstered to this point with solid wins over Belmont, South Dakota, and St. Bonaventure, but two big tests are coming up this week.
The Frogs will face off against SMU on Tuesday (7-2 record, No. 21 in KenPom), and No. 22 Nevada (8-0 record, No. 8 in RPI, No. 34 in KenPom). We’ll have plenty more on both of those matchups this week.
