To carry the title of “Highest recruit in program history” can set pretty lofty expectations for a player to live up to in their 3 to 4 years under the lights. There is the potential of being labeled a bust, a disappointment, or the classic “he just can’t get it figured out”. However, Frog fans won’t have to worry about any of these things when it comes to Jalen Reagor.
Listed at 5’11 and 185 lbs according to 247, the four star wide receiver accounted for 52 receptions, 1008 yards, and 14 receiving touchdowns during his 2016 campaign at Waxahachie HS. He also had opportunities to contribute in other ways during this past year, by carrying the ball 20 times for 220 yards and 3 touchdowns (that’s a casual 11 yards per carry). The dynamic playmaker isn’t coming alone either, he will also be joined by teammate Kenedy Snell, another living highlight reel.
With the ability to run a 40 time of 4.41, Reagor can beat defenders with his speed, but the ability that stands out to me, is his ability to catch the ball in traffic. Something that we have sorely missed since the departure of Josh Doctson and Kolby Listenbee. Expect him to make some crazy catches while making them look easy. At the end of his senior season, he was offered the chance to play in the 2017 Under Armour All-American game.
What makes Reagor an even bigger get, is that TCU was able to flip him from his original commitment, Oklahoma. Reagor received offers from 21 total schools, including: TCU, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Cal, Colorado, Florida State, Kansas, Mississippi State, Mizzou, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Washington.

He then went even further and decided to officially shut down his recruitment a couple of weeks before national signing day. Letting everyone else know that he was 100% buying into TCU. What a guy!

It’s exciting to imagine Reagor, Manning, Snell, and more lined up together on the field for the Horned Frogs in the future. These guys are all going to make plays, but you can expect Reagor to make some big ones. We’re excited that you’re a Frog Jalen!
Below are highlights from his senior season.
