TCU gets a signing day surprise in 3-star WR Al’Dontre Davis

TCU pulled the big WR out of SEC Country.

TCU got a signing day surprise in the form of 3-star wide receiver Al’Dontre Davis, from Lutcher, Louisiana.

Davis, considered an Ole Miss lean, was a highly sought after receiver from the Boot, holding offers from Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, and Arizona, among others.

Davis, standing at 6-0, 190 pounds, played his senior season on a broken foot, and still managed to be a force. He’s not the fastest guy on the field, but he has great body control and good hands, something the Frogs could really use, after the entire receiving squad had a case of the drops for most of last season.

He joins receivers Jalen Reagor, Omar Manning, and Kennedy Snell in the 2017 class, as TCU looks to revamp their receiving corps from 2016.

Check out his hudl film, and welcome Davis to the Frog Fam!
