Ezra Tu’ua signs with TCU: National Signing Day 2017

The JUCO DT is a massive addition.

One of the themes for TCU’s recruiting class in 2017? Beef. Ezra Tu’ua contributes to the class in that way, as the 6-2, 315 pound defensive tackle has sent in his signed NLI and is now officially a Horned Frog.

Tu’ua is an interesting addition, if for no other reason than he’s in his mid-20s. He graduated from high school in 2009, and then went on his Mormon mission for two years. Upon returning, he wanted to get back to football, and went the JUCO route.

While he wasn’t noticed right away, TCU picked up on him and offered him late in January, right before Ole Miss, and the Frogs earned his commitment.

Tu’ua should be able to plug in right away, and at 315 pounds, will be able to help TCU shut down opponent’s running game, something they struggled mightily with last season.

Check out his hudl film, and welcome Tu’ua to the Frog fam!
