The Big 12 Conference announced their awards for the season and a pair of TCU Horned Frogs were named to some All-Big 12 teams. Vladimir Brodziansky received a couple honors today, as he was named to the All-Big 12 2nd Team and the All-Big 12 Defensive Team.

These are some big honors for the junior Slovakian forward, who was by far one of the most improved players in the conference this season. In his most notable performance, he exploded for 28 points at home against current AP #1 Kansas in the Big 12 opener. In conference games, he was 10th in the league in scoring with 15.7 points per game and was 12th in rebounding with 5.9 per game.

Defensively, he tied for 1st in the conference in blocked shots, averaging 2.4 blocks per game in league games. Vlad has 72 total blocks on the season, which is the 3rd most in school history for a single season.

The other Horned Frog to be named to an All-Big 12 team was sophomore guard Alex Robinson, who was named to the All-Big 12 Newcomer Team.

Robinson showed a great ability to drive and finish around the rim for TCU, but he is also a good floor general and was likely named to this team for his passing abilities. In conference games, he was 3rd in the conference with 5.4 assists per game and finished 4th in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio.

Two other Frogs, Kenrich Williams and Jaylen Fisher, were named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. It was surprising to see Williams not finish higher, considering he has 13 double-doubles on the season and was 4th in the conference in rebounding in league games.

While we do not know how the rest of the season will play out, the future for TCU is bright as all 4 of these guys should be back next season.
