Baker homered and Traver looked as good as ever in the Frogs’ win over a pretty good DBU team on the road.
Trey Morris, Sean Wymer, Dalton Brown and Durbin Feltman combined to allow one run in five innings of relief and struck out eight batters, securing Traver’s win.
“It’s definitely encouraging,” Traver said. “That’s a good DBU team. Listi, I’ve known him for 10 years. Those are good hitters. I was thankful things went the way they did. Really just felt good about the pitches I was able to make to the bottom of the strike zone, getting ahead of hitters, putting our team in a good place to win a ballgame.”
Huh. A special program on the rise to win a championship? Shouldn’t he have stayed in Fort Worth if that was the case? Because the Frogs are certainly closer than the Beavers to those lofty goals.
“I want to be a part of a special team that is on the rise to win championships,” a statement from Johnson. “I’m a physical running back and the Oregon State offense fits my skillset. In addition, all the people I met at OSU were very welcoming and made me feel right at home.”
