TCU pitching dominated Kansas State over the weekend, led by sophomore Jared Janczak and freshman Nick Lodolo, who combined to hold the Wildcats to just four hits across 16.0 innings, with 11 total strikeouts against just one walk.
Janczak was his typical brilliant self Friday night, as he tossed 9.0 scoreless innings with seven Ks and two hits allowed. He was denied a decision though, as TCU was held off the scoreboard as well until the 11th, when they exploded for five runs to win the ballgame. But he was named the Big 12 Conference’s Pitcher of the Week based off the effort - the second time has has been honored this season.

Lodolo went toe to toe with JJ a day later, sending in the best performance of his young career with 7.0 shutout innings of two hit ball, striking out four and not issuing a walk. He too was not the winner though, as TCU was scoreless through nine for the second straight game before Luken Baker knocked in the winning run in the tenth. The work earned him Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Week.
