TCU will start Janczak in Cal series; Wade will play versus UTA | The Star-Telegram
This is excellent news - if the Frogs can get JJ and Wade going before the Big 12 Tournament, it gives them a much better chance to make a run to the trophy. Wade will DH tonight verses UTA.
Schlossnagle said he has not decided which game Janczak will pitch in for his test run.
“It’s not like he’s going to be able to pitch deep into games yet, but if we can get him out there a couple of times, once this weekend, once in the conference tournament, then we’ll get to the NCAA tournament,” Schlossnagle said. “I don’t know if he’ll be full strength in terms of being able to throw seven or eight innings, but we’ll be closer to it.”
TCU not ruling out Baker despite ligament, muscle injury in arm | The Star-Telegram
The slugger has a myriad of issues with his arm after injuring it Friday against Oklahoma, but we all know Luken Baker isn’t human, so...
“Obviously, in your throwing arm, it’s Tommy John,” Schlossnagle said. “But in the non-throwing arm, according to Dr. Conway, it’s not something they perform surgery on because it heals itself enough.”
Schlossnagle said Baker is doing fine mentally.
“He was certainly disappointed, but he was great,” Schlossnagle said. “His spirits were really good Saturday and Sunday.”

Game-by-game predictions: Can TCU be a one-loss school in 2017? | Sports Day
You want to talk about some purple-tinted glasses... I love the Frogs, but they aren’t going to be a one-loss team in 2017 unless Kenny Hill becomes DeShaun Watson.
All five Big 12 matchups between TCU and Oklahoma have been decided by seven points or less. Games between the Frogs and the Sooners always make for an exciting contest. This season, even though the Frogs travel to Norman, the Frogs have the energy to keep pushing through and finish strong or with a loss here will start fading.
Score: TCU 21, OKLAHOMA 14
