The Frogs were down 3-0 heading into the 7th, but the No. 8 team in the country worked a comeback in extra innings. It was TCU’s second extra-inning walk off of the weekend. Luken Baker hit the walk off double.
“It feels awesome, especially at the end of the day I was having,” Baker said after his only hit of the game and a 4-for-13 series. “I was struggling a little bit throughout the game. It was good to get that last one.”
Just induct him into the TCU Hall of Fame now.
On Sunday afternoon, Schlossnagle solidified his spot in Horned Frog lore, as No. 7 TCU overcame a 3-0 deficit to sweep the Texas Longhorns with a walk-off win in extra innings, handing Schlossnagle his 600th win as TCU head coach.
Schloss was hired in 2003, and the rest is history.
“It’s just an honor to be at TCU long enough to have the opportunity to win that many games,” Schlossnagle said Sunday. “I’ve had a lot of great players, three great ADs and an unbelievable chancellor. It’s been a pleasure to be here and serve these people.”
