Barber, rated the No. 74 player in the state of Texas for the 2018 recruiting cycle, and the No. 38 athlete in the country, held more than 25 offers including Clemson, Stanford, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Missouri, Minnesota, Arizona, and Arizona State.
Barber also holds offers that are a testament to his intelligence, as well as his football prowess. Beyond Stanford, Barber also has offers from Rice, Brown, Columbia, and Yale.
Standing at 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, Barber is cut from the same cloth as KaVontae Turpin, and he has the same skill set. Barber’s elite speed and quickness make him a nightmare for opposing defenses, and his ability to play both sides of the ball reveals his versatility on the field.
This is a great pickup for the Horned Frogs, as Barber fits exactly what this team is all about.
Welcome to the Frog Fam, Taye!
