ESPN released their latest Top 25 Rankings for college football, and TCU is sitting at #23.
The talking heads appear to be giving us credit for the experience we have on the roster this year--which has definitely been an advantage in past seasons. When key positions have struggled, it’s been experience on defense that has kept us in the game. Kenny Hill took us all on a roller coaster ride of consistency and accuracy last season, but the team returns with more experience on the offensive line and Kyle Hicks. Hicks had 47 receptions for 417 yards in 2016, and rushed for 1,042 yards. Out of 125 players on the roster, 64 of them are upperclassmen. With games in Norman, Stillwater, Manhattan, and Lubbock this season (not to mention Fayetteville), the Frogs surely hope experience will make up for struggles on either side of the ball.
In addition to TCU being ranked in the Top 25, several other Big 12 teams are listed, including:
#7 Oklahoma
#10 Oklahoma State
#19 Kansas State
#20 Texas
#25 West Virginia
